About my work
I strive to embody a piece of myself in every work I create with self-reflection at the core of my creative process. The inspiration for my work comes from personal experiences that I’m able to narrate through the visual language of photography. The photographs aim to achieve a relational experience where the viewer can begin to consider their own memories in relation to mine. I think what matters to me the most is creating photographs that allow visual expression during moments of human intimacy which may often be invalidated.
I think my practice is unique as I combine my love for photography with my passion for creating clothing items or props. Many photographers use props or wardrobe items to enhance their images, but for me, the process of making these pieces adds an extra layer of meaning and creativity to my work. Each piece is carefully designed and handcrafted by myself, making it a truly one-of-a-kind addition to the photograph. I enjoy how this allows me to express my artistic vision. The pieces become more than just wardrobe items; they are wearable art that adds depth and storytelling. Recently I've been working on a series of masks that resonate with water and the ocean. I've always been drawn to the beauty of water, and it is fulfilling incorporating these elements into my work.
